Its stalls and stores offer fruit and vegetables, flowers and herbal medicines, meat, fish and other produce. Snack bars sell traditional pasties and other typical food to go with the chat and beer. With its long tradition as a shopping center, the Municipal Market is an important part of the city’s history. It was built in 1922/3 and restored in 1994.
